The Ronald MacDonald foundation is globally spread in its reach toward and against the tribulations caused by pediatric health. Though spread out in more than 24 countries and regions it has become spread thin and has dedicated the new “McAfrica” campaign towards channeling more resources into the improvement and establishment of its presence in the whole continent.
Currently there is only one Ronald Macdonald housing and health foundation in the whole continent that is established in South Africa. Established in 2016 the foundation has continued to carry out the foundation’s vision of providing families of children with a space to cope during their child’s hospitalization. The “McAfrica” campaign is not only developing the present facilities but aiming to expand their efforts into the neighbouring ,equally needy countries of Zimbabwe and Botswana. African paediatric health is the main focus of the “McAfrica” project and the expansion of the reach of the caremobile program will also be a main emphasis.
The success stories of the solitary African foundation establishment show an effectiveness and signal of need for our presence. For the organization new and old are being called upon towards this “all hands on deck” effort described by Pat Thekisho is the South African organizational Leader . There is all emcompassing incentive toward a noble cause such as this. Unicef estimates 4.5million children live in rural, medically under equipped areas in Zimbabwe and Botswana
The “McAfrica Project aims to provide at least 20 cross-country care mobile , house and room services within the three countries in addition to the
present one by the campaigns conclusion.
The campaign is all encompassing as the global theme for the Ronald
MacDonald foundation in 2021 will be to create the greatest effort towards “McAfrica” and its efforts. Donation boxes in Northern American locations will all send a portion of their total collections toward the cause . There will also be informative advertisements channeled through our social media.
Our campaign will go live on social media with various campaign spokes people who will provide informative in-sight into the campaign on our respective facebook, twitter and instagram pages . As our media is coming back into activity, the launch of our online donation dropbox that will be a hallmark event to commence accepting donations of any amount from our appreciated followers of all tiers. Several stakeholder appreciation and incentive events will be scheduled in the “McAfrica” project regions such as the returning golf Days at various sponsoring courses around the region starting with the global Facebook live donation box event.
Various fundraising Gala Dinner events will also be held such as the very anticipated traditional red shoe Gala hosted in South Africa. There will be 3 more run for RMD events to be held in addition to the Canadian and American ones hosted in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Botswana in
order to spread the cause.
Health ministers from South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana will
also all be making impactful regular appearances while coordinating events and on- goings

mission of the Ronald MacDonald foundation is achieved. Pediatric welfare and health is a global phenomenon and Africa is falling victim to under-equipment and stress.
