The Incredible outreach of the Ronald MacDonald housing program
The Ronald MacDonald foundation is set to launch their new and far reaching outreach program lovingly dubbed the “McAfrica” Project. The Project will immediately tackle the problem Africa faces, being under equipped in relation to pediatric care and family resources. The Ronald MacDonald foundation as an organization committed to the welfare and pediatric conditions of children will embark on a fundraising world wide campaign to raise funds toward the establishment of a larger more impacting presence. This will be mainly an expansion effort branching out of our South African territory and expanding our charity efforts into neighboring Zimbabwe and Botswana countries both experiencing strained efforts toward catering to pediatric health.
Though globally established, there remains the challenge of adequately
equipping and expanding into regions that are in need of the foundation’s efforts. With only one Ronald MacDonald foundation house, two family rooms and only one care-mobile in the whole continent, there is a desperate need to equip more institutions and adequately create a more impactful presence. This will be accomplished through a highly engaging worldwide fundraising campaign with numerous prospective and existing donors such as Coca-cola, Temur and Air BNB.
Sheila Musolino (President and CEO) said in her 2020 foundation annual message “We must adequately represent ourselves as an organization in more than just the first and second world”. This statement perfectly works in synergy with the “McAfrica” projects aim to increase the amount of Ronald MacDonald rooms, care mobiles and houses in Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa to at least 8 in each country. This will initiate an ever expanding effort to spread the foundation’s mission of delivering adequate pediatric care and accessibility across the globe.
With our now global charity being present in a self reported 90% of children’s hospitals around the world with over 536,000 plus Volunteers helping we need to commit our efforts to the more remote areas in need of assistance. With care rooms and houses we will be able to offer more families amenity access during their child’s hospitalization . The care mobile will bring dental, medical, and health care resources to underdeveloped and needy communities in remote areas with volunteering hospital staff accompanying it.
Pat Thekisho is the organizational leader in our Africa territory has commented re-guarding the campaign dubbing it “an all hands on deck effort on behalf for the children”. With a host of worldwide social media info-ads, donation incentive and in person efforts scheduled to be hosted in 2021 all efforts will undeniably live toward proving her adamant statement . From the coveted themed , fundraising appreciation dinner to the world wide golf days the collective hands of the Ronald MacDonald campaign will join toward insuring the success of the McAfrica project. This will be marked by the live social media launch of the world wide online donation box on January 5 that will be available across all social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram.
